NEW PROCESS INSTRUMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Pro Series noncontact temperature sensors photoPro Series Non-Contact Temperature Sensors

The PRO Series is a complete line of noncontact temperature sensors that offers high-performance capabilities for both traditional and difficult applications.

From advanced programming capabilities to an intuitive operator interface, the PRO Series sensors deliver innovations throughout to provide greater accuracy and reliability in a system that is easy to use. Some important innovations include:

Greater Accuracy

  • An Advanced Signal Sampling and Processing System provides exceptionally accurate temperature measurements over broad temperature ranges and under adverse conditions.
  • Advanced Emissivity Compensation techniques, such as Programmable ESP Algorithms, enable 'Aim and Read' capabilities for difficult to measure applications.

Greater Reliability

  • Advanced System Diagnostics and Status Messages provide simple troubleshooting capabilities and useful information to verify the sensor's operation.
  • Rugged, Corrosion Resistant NEMA4X (IP65) Enclosure survives hostile operating conditions.
  • Industry Leading Signal Dilution Factors allow the dualand multi-wavelength sensors to tolerate small or wandering targets, misalignment, obstructions, partially filled fields-ofview, and dirty lenses.

Easy To Use

  • An Intuitive Text-Based User Interface simplifies installation and operation. No manual or special training is required to translate obscure codes or make sensor adjustments.
  • Programmable Outputs and Alarms can be configured with 5 measured parameters, enabling a variety of process monitoring and control capabilities.
  • Through the lens or fiber optic sighted sensors provide flexible and precise alignment options. Optional aim light and laser aiming systems also enable easy alignment verification.
  • An Interchangeable Interface Module simplifies the setup and field calibration of multiple or spare sensors.
  • Bi-directional serial communications permit remote system monitoring and configuration.
  • A Wide Selection of Accessories simplifies sensor installation and operation and provides additional protection in hostile operating environments.

Series TFXL Clamp On Ultrasonic Flow Meter

Clamp On Ultrasonic Flow Meters photoThe new Series TFXL is an ultrasonic flowmeter that clamps on to the outside of a pipe. It is designed to replace mechanical flowmeters in applications where liquid conditions tend to damage or impede mechanical flow meter operation. Installation of the TFXL is cost effective and requires no maintenance. The TFXL is offered on pipe sizes from 1/2” to 2” and can be ordered with or without a local display. All meters provide two flow rate outputs, 4-20mA analog and a choice of simulated turbine meter or TTL-pulse frequency, permitting the product to be interfaced with a variety of monitoring equipment. Windows ® based software utility allows users to configure, calibrate and troubleshoot.

FROM WEBER SENSORS: Flo-Captor Smart MeterFlo-Captor Smart Meter photo

NEW: A flow meter for everything that flows!

weber Sensors presents the brand new flow-captor smart meter. This solid state device accurately measures very low flow rates utilizing the "calorimetric principle".

The flow-captor smart meter solves the problem, common with insertion type sensors, of ensuring proper insertion depth in varying pipe sizes.

Using the adjustable mounting brackets, the ideal insertion depth of the sensing element (which is 1/7th of the actual pipe diameter) can be precisely set for any pipe size from 1.5 inches up to 24 inches. The 1/7th diameter insertion law, achievable with the flow-captor smart meter, ensures high measurement accuracy under turbulent or laminar flow conditions.
